Back in my home town there is a little Teriyaki place that serves a dish called Chicken Donburi. Let's just say it's a one of a kind dish, savory and sweet and filling too. I tried years ago to try and find the recipe so I could make a vegetarian style, but I didn't get the answers I wanted. Donburi literally just means bowl and is usually a Japanese rice dish. So I had to experiment with this to get the taste I once loved from Tri Teriyaki. This also happens to be my Mother's favorite dish from that place and even though it's right down the street from her, I wanted to give her a recipe that would surprise the crap out of her. It's so easy and so similar, it's crazy!
NOTE: These are single serving amounts, this was literally a lunch I made for myself.
