I've had these vintage 1950's-60's sewing patterns for a while now and I wanted so bad to incorporate them into our wedding. I first thought of using them for place setting, but we decided not to do assigned seating. So I put them aside and took them off of my list.
Then, we started looking for favors and other wedding ideas and fans came up. Since we are having the wedding in July, it will be hot here so fans seemed so ideal, convenient and worthwhile. I originally wanted to do folding fans, but after looking at the construction, time consumption and cost of materials, I decided against them. So we are doing good ol' fashion hand fans.
My favorite part of them is of course the vintage sketches. I mismatched the male and female sketches to keep it fun. I had to clean them up in photoshop, cut around, combine images etc. I loved the way they came out!
All together, I did 6 designs. Enjoy and KEEP COOL.
