Alice in Wonderland Crafts Nightmare Before Christmas Crafts Everything Cupcake

Broccamole: Broccoli Guacamole of course!

So I had to try this once I saw it on Domesticfits, though I tweaked the recipe a bit and the spelling. Ever since I've been watching what I eat for this damn wedding, I've been trying to pay attention to my daily fat intake as well. This is almost fat free if you use fat free cream cheese. Now I will say this, you still need to be a pretty big fan of broccoli and realize it isn't guacamole in the traditional sense. But it's an awesome dip!

What you need:
1 large head of broccoli, chopped
1 jalapeno, chopped
1 tsp olive oil
4 ounces cream cheese
1/4 tsp chili powder
cilantro
salt to taste
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder

Instructions:
Overcook the broccoli so it's easier to mix up and drain very well. Pulverize everything in your food processor and salt to taste. Put in the oven for a good 10 minutes on 450 to make it nice and toasty.

I've only tried it warm, but I'm sure you could just cool your broccoli and eat it cold.

Wedding Wednesdays ~ Wedding cake on a budget

I found a Cake Calculator on Stephs Cake Creations. Yay! Now if you're like me, you don't have $ to get your dream cake. But the good news is, you can see what your budget will allow here.

I first tried it out and put in what I think I might want in a wedding cake. These were my results:

That was a little out of our budget so I put in a budget more around what we want to pay, 250:

We haven't decided on a flavoring yet, but we have some ideas on the design of it. 3 square tiers for sure. I'm torn between a clean all white cake with our flowers or this green design on the cake.

In case you forgot what our flowers look like...

Cupcake Apron

This is an old dress of mine. It used to be my favorite dress. Which is why it is just riddled with holes, stains and snags **sad face** but I found a way to keep it going! I'm turning it into an apron! I just love the pattern.

I cut it into the shape of an apron, left the pockets and I'm gonna cover those holes and snags with CUPCAKES! Here's the back side of it where you can see the pockets and even all of the snags in the fabric.

I used some lace for the neck and made little bows to cover up the seams.

I cut out cupcake tops and bottoms of a bunch of different fabrics. Mix and match!

Start off with sewing the bottom of the cupcake then add the top and sew all around, I used red thread on every cupcake for some pop.

Here are all of my cupcakes! I am thinking about adding red buttons on top of each one, I just haven't gotten to it yet.

Here is the finished top of the apron.

Valentine Wreath

Yay! Another wreath to add to the collection, I'm still trying to make a wreath for every holiday this year. I might even redo ones from last year. There is something about adding a wreath to your home that is so inviting, not to mention I will find an excuse to do a craft at any time.

What I used:
-Wicker wreath ($1)
-Yarn
-Foam
-Hot glue

Nice and time consuming, but I love the look of it. Wrap yarn around the wreath gluing as you go.

Make your little rosettes out of coordinating foam pieces. I had no certain way of making these, some turned out perfect, others, not so much.

Glue your roses to the wreath, I did mine towards the side. If you want to add a little more, hang hearts from the center of your wreath. Add a loop in the back to hang from.

Hang your wreath!

New hair color! Me and a camera...

I really hate taking pictures of myself, it reminds me of all the stupid ass pictures I see on facebook with people posing with their phones hahah. But I wanted to show everyone what I did with this hair O mine.

I decided to go full-on red and I am in love with it! Even better, my honey is in LOVE with it. So much that he even went to the store and bought back ups of the same color so I would keep it :) How freakin cute is that? So, what do you think?

Wedding Wednesdays ~ Wedding Weight loss

So I'm never too candid about my weight on here, mostly because who wants to admit they are overweight? But now that my wedding is coming up in just 25 weeks (eek!) I need to get moving! So I will be updating my progress on here once a week. My goal is to lose a pound a week, so I gotta get off the computer more and hit the streets. I also plan on making my Xbox work for me, the Kinect Adventures is quite a workout actually.

So here's to 25 weeks and 25 pounds to go! To fresh food, no sweets and lotz of water. I'm gonna be searching everywhere for some inspiration and motivation. Have any ideas? Send em through!

Latest obsession: Mermaids

I have no idea why I all of a sudden have a love for all things mermaid, maybe it's because they aren't too hip right now. But I can' help but love all of the mermaid art I've been coming into later. I have been talking about turning the bathroom into a mermaid theme, oh hell yes!

Tonner has now released a doll of Zombie boy. Who wants one? Goodluck, they're hard to find! Check it out here!

Wedding Wednesdays ~ Our Cake topper

Welcome to a much needed Wedding Wednesday! It's been a while, I know, but I've been a nervous wreck and completely busy here. I'm super excited to show you guys what my Aunt June brought back for us from her last trip. How thoughtful! She was so afraid that I wouldn't like it or thought it was a rude gift, how crazy!  She got us this bitchin' undead cake topper!

I love it! She said she saw it and it looked like me and my honey so she just had to get it! I'm so relieved. We haven't found a cake topper that we love yet and this one is just perfect! The colors are off, but who the hell cares? Shit, I could paint it if need be to match my green flowers. But for now, I just love it the way it is.

I love the little detailing in the bone and her dress ruffles, it's gorgeous!

Green Gunk

I remember this always being at my family BBQs when I was younger and even getting sick off of it one year. They would make it in HUGE batches and I just remember seeing about 20 containers of empty Cool Whip containers sitting in the big kitchen of my great-grandmother's. Truthfully, this was the only thing that she made that I ever liked, (this was not the good cooking side of my family)

Maybe it's the simplicity of it, or the nostalgia I get when eating it, but my lil family sure does love it today. It's so yummy and creamy, like a pistachio mousse. Yum! It might have a real name, but they always called it Green Gunk.

What you need:
- Big ass container of Whipped cream (half frozen or thawed)
- Instant Pistachio Pudding box
- Maraschino Cherries cut into halves
- bowl
- Mixer

What to do:
Whip up your whip cream and pudding until it is completely mixed and becomes a beautiful seafoam green color. I just love the color of this so much. Fold in Cherries. Refrigerate for about an hour or until thickened. It will be the consistency of a creamy mousse. Serve the yummy green goodness or don't share ;)

DIY $1 Feather Earrings

This was definitely one of those DUH moments. Why pay $9 dollars for a pair of feather earrings from Claires when you can make 6 pairs, yes I said 6 for $1! Genius! I gave myself a pat on the back for this one and my little sister couldn't believe I even make these! (I didn't tell her they only cost me a dollar, shhh :)

What you need:
Dollar Tree Dreamcatcher
Earring or ornament hooks
Pliers
Wire cutters
Hot Glue
This is the dreamcatcher I got for $1 at the dollar tree. It came with 12 feathers on it, perfect for 6 pairs of earrings. Try to find one with varying lengths and colors.
It's so easy I'm sure I can just tell you what to do.
Hot glue the end of the feather to the end of the post. Yeah, it's that easy. Clip the remaining wire and make sure your earrings match up.
I even kept some of the creamcatcher string with beads on there that connected two sets of feathers. It made the earrings nice and long and they look awesome in your hair. This is definitely a projects that looks way more expensive than it was.

Get to Know Your Bloggers ~ Breethulhu: That Damn Goth Girl

In my opinion the funniest movie would have to be, Chillerama. I can't control myself over the The Diary of Anne Frankenstein story. I can speak a bit of German and in the movie the guy who plays Hitler is just yelling out crazy things in a German accent. Such as: BOBA FETT! RAMMSTEIN! May not seem funny to some, but it's just my sense of humor.
My favorite movie is Natural Born Killers. May seem twisted, but I love Mickeys and Mallory relationship.
Embarrassing fear. Hmm well you know in Gremlins, the one is hiding in the Christmas tree and it attacks the mom? Watching that as a child horrified me and ever since I haven't been exactly fond of Christmas trees.
Well if I'm rich I could always just use that money to make myself good looking! Or if I was good looking it could make me rich! Muuhahahaha It's a win win. Sorry getting carried away over here. Okay. Serious time. I'm not exactly sure what I'd pick in all honesty. I think I'd go with rich, just so I could provide better for my son and myself.
For breakfast today I had a NOS Energy Drink. Breakfast of Champions.
I have always fancied purple when it comes to colors.
Right now I could really go for some Sushi. Mmmm.
Song of the Week is Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted. (That's probably strange coming from myself, but it has a meaning to me.)
Hmmm. Favorite thing on my Blog. Well I really fancy the people who write me on my blog. Although there isn't many of them who do. The ones that do I hold dearly to me.
My favorite sandwhich would have to be the Veggie Delight from Subway. Pepper Jack Cheese, Spinach, Tomatoes, and all the good spicy fixings on Flat Bread
I am a Gemini. I've very into my sign. It fits who/how I am perfectly
Horrible B-Rated Movies, Guilty Pleasure for sure.
I started my Blog because I was at this weird point in life. I was feeling like I had so many thoughts that I just needed to get out and share with people, if they read it or not. Just to know I had something out there about myself that is vulnerable and maybe someday someone would read it and relate, maybe they wouldn't feel so alone in their issues. Of course everything I talk about on thatdamngothgirl isn't always that serious. I do try and hit some topics that may be relate-able. Such has my struggles with Relationships, Health, so on and so forth.
My favorite Jelly Belly has to be the Buttered Popcorn. Mmmm!
My Quote for you today is: "The world is a stage, but the play is badly cast." Oscar Wilde
